State Health Department Continues to Offer Blood Testing

Free blood testing is being offered for PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) and other per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) for area residents who wish to participate.

Request a blood test by calling (1-800) 801-8092 (8:30 am - 4:30 pm).

You will receive a test order in the mail with information to make an appointment at a participating local lab.
You must bring your test order to the lab for a blood test.

Information from Round 2 Blood Testing

Information from Round 1 Blood Testing

The State Health Department has collected blood samples in the first round of blood testing as part of a PFOA biomonitoring study for people who live in the area. This blood testing is a way to learn more about people's actual exposure to PFOA. It will also tell us how the levels of PFOA in the blood of people living in or near Hoosick Falls compare to people living elsewhere.
