The following is information about response activities by the New York State Department of Health to address local water supply concerns associated with PFAS, previously referred to as PFCs in DOH documents. More information about PFAS.
State Health Department Offers Second Round of Blood Testing
Free blood testing is being offered for PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) and other per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) for area residents who wish to participate.
Request a blood test by calling (1-800) 801-8092 (8:30 am - 4:30 pm).
You will receive a test order in the mail with information to make an appointment at a participating local lab.
You must bring your test order to the lab for a blood test.
About Ongoing State Health Department Activities
The State Health Department has been conducting activities in these communities in response to local water supply issues and concerns. Activities include:
- Consultation and advice to address community water supply issues
- Drinking water testing for affected public and private water supplies
- Activities to characterize and address exposures.
