The heat stress data on this site are provided for download in comma-separated values (CSV) format. This format can be imported into most spreadsheets, databases and statistical analysis software. A text file explaining the data fields and values is also provided.

Data Include

• The rate of emergency department visits by month and year for New York State, New York State Excluding New York City and New York City (3-year averages).
• The rate of hospitalizations by month and year for New York State, New York State Excluding New York City and New York City (3-year averages).
• The percent of heat stress related emergency department visits by place of exposure and age group for New York State, New York State Excluding New York City and New York City.
• The percent of heat stress related hospitalizations by place of exposure and age group for New York State, New York State Excluding New York City and New York City.
