Introduction and Welcome

History:

  • Description of VAP. Funding for measurable performance and quality initiatives.
  • Description of IAAF. Rescue funding for facilities in need of essential and immediate cash assistance.
  • The blend of the two: VAPAP. The continued provision of funding for facilities in need of essential and immediate cash assistance with the ultimate requirement of sustainability and fulfilment of the goals of DSRIP.

Time Line of Financial Reporting and Transitional Planning:

  • April 6, 2015: Expedited applications accepted from facilities requesting immediate (April and May) cash assistance.
  • April 22, 2015: April and May installments disbursed to facilities.
  • April 29, 2015: Applicant Conference and Webinar.
  • April 30, 2015: Applications due from providers requesting critical operational cash assistance for June 2015 through March 2016.
  • May 18, 2015: Full annual VAPAP awards announced.
  • May 19, 2015: Providers and the department and/or its assign will begin development of transformational DSRIP minded, sustainability plans. Frequent communication between VAPAP participants and the department and/or its assign will continue throughout the summer of 2015.
  • On or before September 9, 2015: VAPAP participants will submit DSRIP minded transformational plans to the department.
  • September 30, 2015. The department will announce approved VAPAP plans.
  • October 1, 2015 and beyond: Measurement of effort towards plan goals.

Note: Facilities will submit monthly financial statements no later than the 15th of the following month. Disbursements will be made the week prior to the target month.

Tools and Assistance Available

  • Discussion of the composition of the VAP TMRAA application. A base for VAPAP transition planning. The TMRAA will be modified for VAPAP and be available on or before May 19, 2015.
  • The department and/or its assign will work with providers.
