Phase In - Stop Loss Provisions

Year 1 - Mainstream MCOs and HARPs will be responsible for:

• 100% of the cost of the first 45 days for each psychiatric inpatient stay
• 50% of the cost of psychiatric inpatient stays for days 46 through 60
• State will reimburse the MCOs the other 50% of the approved cost for each of these days
• State will reimburse MCOs 100% of the approved cost for the days in excess of 60

Year 2 - Mainstream MCOs and HARPs will be responsible for:

• 100% of the cost of the first 60 days of psychiatric inpatient stays for each admission
• 50% of the cost for days 61 through 100
• State will reimburse the MCOs the other 50% of the approved cost for each of these days
• The State will reimburse the MCOs 100% of he approved cost for days in excess of 100

Year 3 (and thereafter) - Mainstream MCOs and HARPs will be responsible for:

• 100% of the cost of psychiatric inpatient stays up to and including 100 days for each admission
• THe State will reimburse the MCOs 100% of he approved cost of days in excess of 100
