NY State of Health Events Promote Health Plan Enrollments Across the State
More than 50 Events Scheduled During Next Several Days
Deadline this Friday, December 15th for January 1st Coverage
ALBANY, N.Y. (December 12, 2017) - NY State of Health, the state's official health plan Marketplace, today announced that over the next few days alone, its in-person assistors will be on the ground at more than 50 events in communities across the state helping consumers enroll in quality, low-cost health plans.
"With three days left to enroll in Qualified Health Plan coverage starting January 1st, NY State of Health in-person assistors are participating in events throughout the state in locations ranging from food pantries to libraries, answering questions about health coverage and enrolling consumers into quality, affordable health plans," said NY State of Health Executive Director Donna Frescatore. "It's this kind of grassroots, local outreach - meeting consumers in locations where they are, that gives more New Yorkers the opportunity to get covered."
Consumers must enroll by December 15th, 2017 for coverage beginning January 1st, 2018. Enrollment in the Essential Plan is open all year.
