Media Advisory: State Health Department to Showcase Innovation at Grand Opening of National Center for Adaptive Neurotechnologies

Albany, N.Y. (September 28, 2015) -- The newly established National Center for Adaptive Neurotechnologies will host an open house and welcome leading neurologists and scientists from the Capital Region to tour the new center and see demonstrations of the latest research taking place there.

State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker will cut the ribbon for the first-in-the-nation facility, which is housed in the Department of Health's Wadsworth Center. The remarkable new research center is focused entirely on adaptive neurotechnologies, a rapidly growing field that helps improve the diagnoses and treatment of stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, ALS, chronic pain, and many other devastating conditions.
