Single Source Procurement: Tuberculosis Directly Observed Therapy (DOT)

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health Bureau of Tuberculosis Control Program has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to three eligible grantees to support ongoing currently funded projects.

Tuberculosis Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) is considered the most effective strategy for ensuring patients adhere to treatment per the Centers of Disease Control (CDC). This procurement seeks to provide TB DOT services to reach underserved patients and communities where the incidence of disease is greatest.
