Single Source Procurement: PrEP Services in General and HIV Primary Care Settings
Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health, Adolescent/Young Adult HIV Specialized Care Centers, PrEP Services in General and HIV Primary Care Settings Program has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to 29 eligible grantees to support ongoing currently funded projects.
The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) AIDS Institute (AI) is requested to extend twenty-nine (29) contracts for two (2) years until a new competitive process is completed. The contracts provide funding for community-driven solutions to raise awareness of and reduce barriers to accessing Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) as a critically important prevention tool for people at risk for HIV, particularly in communities of color.
