Single Source Procurement: One-time purchase of Architect i1000SR instrument - Wadsworth Center
Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health Wadsworth Center has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to Abbott Laboratories to support ongoing currently funded projects.
The Wadsworth Center’s Division of Infectious Diseases seeks approval for a one-time purchase of the Abbott Architect i1000SR instrument and necessary ancillary items. A formal competitive process for this purchase wasn’t feasible since the FDA-approved HIV Ag/Ab testing systems are only available from select vendors.
