Single Source Procurement: Sample Preparation System

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. Entech is the leader in the specialized field of whole air sampling, providing patented engineering advances for accurate measurement of volatile organic compounds that only they can provide. Purchasing equipment from another vendor would be a step backward in technology. Also, we will be interfacing the new 7650HS-CTS unit with our existing Entech Autosampler. It would not be possible to interface the current Autosampler with equipment from another vendor.
