Single Source Procurement: Migrant and Seasonal Worker Program (MSW) - Contract Assignment

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health, Migrant and Seasonal Worker Program (MSW) Program has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to one eligible grantee to support ongoing currently funded projects.

New York State's Migrant and Seasonal Worker (MSW) Health Program provides 17,000 to 23,000 MSWs and their families access to high quality, culturally and linguistically appropriate health and social support services, focusing on removal of barriers to access and linkage to needed services. Currently, 11 contractors, covering up to 47 counties, provide an array of services that include: outreach, health screening, primary and preventive medical and dental services, case management, interpretation/translation, transportation, linkage to health insurance, and linkage to services provided by other health and social support programs.

The New York State Department of Health and Center for Community Health are requesting approval of a Contract Assignment between contractor Geneseo Migrant Health (Assignor) and Chautauqua County Opportunities (Assignee).
