| Description: | HPNAP was established in 1984 as a result of public health concerns about nutrition-related illnesses among persons in need of food assistance. HPNAP works with an established network of more than 2,600 Emergency Food Programs (EFP) including food banks, food pantries and soup kitchens to leverage private and public partnerships to provide approximately 400 million meals each year throughout New York State. This request is from 8/15/22 – 3/31/23. This methodology would allow the LIF funds to be spent within the 7.5-month timeframe and be distributed to EFP's statewide to address additional requests for food assistance. |
