Single Source Procurement: Community Cancer Prevention in Action
Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health Community Cancer Prevention in Action Program has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to three grantees to support ongoing currently funded projects.
The procurement is used to decrease exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation to reduce the risk of skin cancer among priority populations (such as youth, minors, employees in outdoor occupational settings, etc.) through implementation of evidence based, recommended interventions; and, Increase cancer screening rates for colorectal, breast and cervical cancers through worksite (employer) paid time off policies. from St. Mary’s Healthcare, St. Lawrence County Health Initiative, Inc., and Broome County Of.
