Single Source Procurement: American Indian Health Program

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law §163.10(b), the New York State Department of (DOH) is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The American Indian Health Program (AIHP) provides access to outpatient primary medical care, specialty medical care, dental, vision, pharmacy, short term skilled nursing and preventive health services for Native people. All covered services are for out-patient care only. Single source is required because each Tribal Council has the right to approve the selection of the contractor to provide health care oversight of their Nation clinics. This does not allow for a competitive procurement process.
