Single Source Procurement: Commodity Supplemental Food Program

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health, Commodity Supplemental Food Program has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to one eligible grantee to support ongoing currently funded projects.

The NYS CSFP offers nutritious food to adults 60 years of age and older who meet income eligibility requirements and reside in targeted areas of Long Island and New York City. Eligible recipients receive a specific monthly food package as well as nutrition education and referrals to other health and social services. The program is funded by NYS and USDA, and administered by the NYS DOH in compliance with federal regulations and state policies.
