Single Source Procurement: American Indian Health Program - Eye Care Services

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health American Indian Health Program (AIHP) has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to Davis Vision, Inc. to support ongoing currently funded projects.

The American Indian Health Program provides access to primary medical care, eye care, dental care, pharmacy and preventive health services for approximately 25,000 Native American living within reservation communities of six NYS recognized Indian Nations. The current contract was procured by piggyback on the Civil Service statewide contract with Davis Vision which ended 03/31/2022. AIHP is requesting an extension to the current contract with Davis Vision to ensure there is continuity of care for Nation members as the Department of Civil Service completes the contracting and contract execution process.
