Single Source Procurement: Sewakwatho Drop-In Center Community Sobriety Project
Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities Prevention has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to 1 eligible grantee to support ongoing currently funded projects.
The funds through this will fill a critical void for the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe and support Sewakwatho, the Akwesasne Community Drop-in Center. The Center provides a safe and supportive environment for people to make connections, build relationships, attend programming, and obtain help and encouragement when the need arises. The funds have filled a critical void and provided a high priority resource for the Nation.
