Single Source Procurement: Hazardous Waste Chemical Removal Cost Amendment

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), the New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, material, and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The Wadsworth Lab will execute a cost amendment to contract C029139 with Clean Venture, Inc. The hazardous chemical waste removal contract is in place to assist in disposing of hazardous chemical waste from the New York State Health Department laboratories. This amendment is needed due to due to an unanticipated, unusually high, volume of waste removal needs during the 2021-22 contract year.
