Deal Administrator:

This letter provides additional information about the nursing home rate appeal attestation exercise for your free-standing and hospital-based nursing facilities for rate years 2009 through 2021.

In order to provide sufficient time for review and completion of the exercise, the Department is revising the due date for providers to submit their Nursing Home Rate Appeal Attestation form and Nursing Facility Open Appeals Impact Workbook to the Department. All attestation forms and excel files must be submitted via email to NFRates@health.ny.gov by COB Monday, January 8, 2024. The subject line of the email should state "Nursing Home Rate Appeal Attestation." Please remember that no modifications should be made to the structure of the workbook, and it must be submitted in Excel (no other formats will be accepted).

As stated during the webinar presentation on September 27, 2023, the Department will also post a Q&A document to the HCS and will expand the document should further questions arise.
