Dear Administrator
This is to notify you of the approval and publication of your Medicaid Hospice Residence rates, including the Recruitment, Training and Retention (RTR) add-ons for the period January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024. The formula on which these 2024 rates are based was promulgated in accordance with Section 4014 of the Public Health Law (PHL) and Subpart 866(h) of Title 10 of the Commissioner’s Administrative Rules and Regulations.
In accordance with the approved rate methodology, these rates represent 94% of the weighted average calendar year Medicaid rate of the nursing facilities located in the WEF region of your hospice residence. These rates also include the value of the ten percent increase, effective April 1, 2018, in accordance with Chapter 57 of the Laws of 2018, as well as the 2022 Enacted one percent (1%) enhancement, effective April 1, 2022. The payment for the January 1, 2024, Hospice residence rates will be made in cycle 2444, with a check release date of July 24, 2024.
