80A nurse practitioner may diagnose these conditions provided that the diagnosis is related to the nurse practitioner's specialty and competency. Otherwise, the nurse practitioner must refer the child and family to a licensed qualified professional with the training and expertise needed to make an appropriate diagnosis.
