      The New York State Office of Children and Family Services provides a range of resources to help parents with their child care needs, assists those who want to start or are currently running child care programs, and answers questions about the health or safety of children in day care programs.

    • County Departments of Social Services

      County Departments of Social Services (DSS) provide the full range of publicly-funded social services and cash assistance programs. Families who qualify may be able to receive a subsidy to help pay their child care costs. If you are interested in learning more about the availability of child care subsidies in your county, please contact your DSS office.

  • Parent to Parent of NYS

    Parent to Parent of NYS is a parent-run organization, with nine offices statewide, that brings parents of children with disabilities together with other parents who have children with the same or similar disabilities. Parents can discuss similar problems, successes, share information, and provide each other with support.

      Parent Centers serve families of children of all ages and with all disabilities (physical, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional). Parent Centers provide a variety of services including one-to-one support and assistance, workshops, publications, and websites.
