Assisted Living Program 4500 Conversion Initiative for Transitional Adult Homes

October 17, 2014

The New York State Department of Health is pleased to announce the award of 4,393 new Assisted Living Program (ALP) beds to 39 Adult Care Facilities (ACFs) across 15 counties statewide. This award furthers the State's goal of establishing quality residential care and services for aging New Yorkers in a safe and less restrictive environment. Each ACF must now submit a licensure application that the Department will review in order to implement the Assisted Living Program. The Department remains committed in its efforts to ensure that New Yorkers who may need assistance with some daily activities will be able to continue living in their community with dignity and respect.

A list of the awardees accompanies this announcement.
