  • 27 years of service

Ozie Williams, Public Health Nutrition Coordinator, lives Public Health! In her role as a Public Health Educator, she teaches the elements of good health and nutrition with passion and joy. Ozie is always considering how to better engage county residents, the underserved, and fellow Health Department staff in strategies for healthy living in mind, body and soul. In addition to her formal scope of work, Ozie also volunteers as an informal "Health Ambassador" through her many civic and professional associations. She consistently takes a leadership role in the fight against the nation's number one killer, Heart Disease, as evidenced by her yearly "Go Red!" Campaign. A cheerleader amongst her colleagues for National Walking Day, Ozie has seamlessly integrated her personal work plan with Dutchess County's Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) through expansion and promotion of workplace wellness. As Ozie always says, "It's OK to try and fail, but don't fail to try."
