Media Advisory: State Health Official to Receive Flu Shot Monday, Encourages New Yorkers to Remain Vigilant and Get Vaccinated

New York State Department of Health Western Regional Director, Gregory E. Young, M.D., will get his flu shot Monday, October 1, at 10:30 a.m., at the State Department of Health (DOH), 584 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo. Dr. Young will also discuss the importance of getting vaccinated in an effort to stay healthy this flu season.

B-roll of how influenza viruses are detected and characterized at the state's Wadsworth Center laboratory will also be provided to the media.
